Welcome to the International Association of Airline Internal Auditors (IAAIA) Website!

The organization began in 1991 with several airlines gathering in London to exchange information on challenges and best practices experienced within their Internal Audit departments. As of January 2016, the organization has grown to over 40 member airlines and continues to meet annually all across the world to network, exchange ideas and solutions. The Annual Conference has become the highlight for Members and is strategically held all across the globe to encourage all Airlines to participate. Lookout for more information on the upcoming 2016 annual conference, to be held in Doha, Qatar.


The Principal Objectives of the Association Are:

  • Establish and maintain a non-profit association, for persons engaged in, concerned with and involved in the internal audit and related assurance functions of any of the world's scheduled and/or charter airlines.
  • To help develop and maintain the standards and procedures of the practice of internal audit and related assurance functions in the airline industry.
  • To promote the study of and research into the internal audit and related assurance function management and practice in the airline industry, and to organize conference seminars, forums and other activities conducive to other aims.
  • To promote the further co-operation of members, all engaged in internal audit or a related assurance function of their respective airline.
  • To affiliate or co-operate with any other body or association whose objectives are similar to those of the Association.
  • To promote the profession of Internal Audit and related assurance functions in general and to the airline industry in particular.
